A chest full of friends
Once upon a time, in a small jungle, there lived a little girl named Joslyn. Joslyn had a heart full of dreams and stories. But she often felt lonely as there was no one to share her tales. She wished for friends who could join her adventures. Her parents were busy, and her siblings were far away. Joslyn spent most of her time exploring the jungle. She always hoped to find someone who would listen.

One sunny afternoon, Joslyn decided to explore her grandmother's attic. It was a dusty place filled with old memories. She stumbled upon a large chest hidden beneath some blankets. Her curiosity got the best of her, and she opened the chest. Inside, she found a collection of plush jungle animals. Each one seemed to have a unique charm. Joslyn felt a strange connection with them.

The first plush animal Joslyn picked up was Otis the Lion. Otis looked anxious, but he had a warm smile. Joslyn hugged Otis and felt a sense of calm. Otis taught Joslyn to count when she felt anxious. Counting helped Joslyn feel grounded and less worried. She realized that Otis would always be there to help her. Joslyn felt a little less lonely with Otis by her side.

Next, Joslyn picked up Jaden the Tiger. Jaden looked a bit nervous, but his eyes were kind. Joslyn learned that Jaden used deep breathing to calm his nerves. Together, they practiced taking deep breaths in and out. Joslyn found it soothing and helpful. With Jaden, she felt brave enough to face her fears. Joslyn was grateful for her new friend.

Joslyn then discovered Jack the Elephant. Jack seemed a little scared, but he was gentle and wise. Jack showed Joslyn how writing could help with fear. They wrote stories and letters together. Writing made Joslyn feel safe and understood. Jack's presence was comforting to Joslyn. She knew she could always turn to Jack for help.

Pie the Giraffe was next, and he was quite silly. Pie loved to make Joslyn laugh with his funny antics. He taught her how to use meditation to calm down. They would sit quietly and focus on their breathing. Joslyn found peace in these moments with Pie. She realized that being silly was a great way to cope. Pie became her meditation buddy.

Wilson the Leopard looked a bit mad but had a gentle heart. Joslyn learned that Wilson counted his spots when he felt angry. Together, they counted each spot on Wilson's fur. It helped Joslyn manage her own anger too. Wilson showed her that it was okay to feel mad sometimes. With Wilson, Joslyn learned to let go of her anger.

Jessica the Monkey was full of energy. She loved to jump and play. Jessica taught Joslyn how to do jumping jacks to release energy. They would jump around and laugh together. Joslyn found it fun and refreshing. With Jessica, she learned that being energetic was a joy. Joslyn felt alive and happy with Jessica.

Roger the Zebra was a bit rowdy but very creative. He loved building things with Joslyn. Roger showed her how to use building as a coping skill. They made towers and bridges with blocks. Joslyn enjoyed the creativity and focus it brought. Roger taught her that rowdiness could be channeled positively. Joslyn admired Roger's creativity.

Rose the Hippo seemed a little sad, but she was kind-hearted. She taught Joslyn about positive thinking. Together, they practiced thinking of happy thoughts. Joslyn learned to see the bright side of things. Rose's gentle nature was soothing to Joslyn. She realized that sadness was okay and could be overcome. Joslyn felt grateful for Rose's kindness.
