The Exciting School Trip
A School Trip to Lung Yeuk Tau
Today, Alex and Emma are going on a school trip to Lung Yeuk Tau. They are very excited to see the beautiful mountains and old villages! They pack their bags with snacks and cameras. The school bus is waiting for them at the front gate. Everyone is buzzing with excitement!

The bus drives along the mountain road to Lung Yeuk Tau. Alex tells Emma, "The mountains here look like a dragon jumping, so it’s called Lung Yeuk Tau!" Emma laughs and says, "That’s so interesting!" They both look out the window, trying to spot the dragon shape. The teacher shares more stories about the mountains.

They arrive at the old village called Old Wai and see the tall walls. Emma asks, "Why are the walls so thick here?" The teacher replies, "They were built to keep pirates away!" The kids imagine pirates trying to climb the walls. Alex pretends to be a pirate, making everyone giggle.

The kids see an old well. Alex points and says, "This well was used by villagers for drinking water." Emma looks closely and says, "The well has a metal cover. That’s special!" They take turns peeking inside the well. The teacher tells them about how important water was for the villagers.

Next, they visit the Tin Hau Temple. Emma is surprised and says, "There are so many statues in the temple!" The teacher explains, "These are the gods that protect the village. We can pray here for blessings." Alex and Emma try to count all the statues. They whisper their wishes to the gods.

In the temple, the kids see two old bronze bells. Emma asks, "What are these bells for?" The teacher says, "People ring the bells to tell the gods and pray for safety." Alex and Emma each take a turn ringing the bells. The sound echoes through the temple, making them smile.

Before the trip ends, the kids take pictures on the village path. They agree to come back next time to join the village’s traditional activities and learn more about the culture. Emma snaps a photo of Alex pretending to be a dragon. Alex takes a picture of Emma near the well. They promise to keep these memories forever.
