Alinas adventures with language

Alina was excited about her first day at her new school. She held her mother's hand tightly as they walked through the gates. Around her, children were talking and laughing in a language she didn't fully understand. Alina's eyes were big with curiosity as she stepped into her classroom. She wondered what adventures awaited her in this new place.

In class, Alina was surprised to hear her teacher, Ms. River, and classmates speaking both English and Spanish. It was like a beautiful song with different notes. Alina listened carefully, trying to catch every word. She felt a little shy but also eager to learn. Ms. River wrote 'Hello' on the board with a big smiley face, making Alina feel welcome.

During recess, Alina decided to try out her new word, 'Hello,' with a friend. Her friend, Lucy, smiled and said 'Hello' back, making Alina giggle. Lucy began teaching Alina more words like 'Friend' and 'Thank you' while they played. Alina was happy to learn and felt like she was on a magical adventure with words. She couldn't wait to tell her mom about her day.

At home, Alina and her mom read a book with drawings and words in both English and Spanish. Alina practiced her new words with her family, feeling proud. The next day, she stood in front of the class and greeted everyone in both languages. Her classmates clapped, and Ms. River gave her a big thumbs up. Alina knew she was on a wonderful journey of learning and making new friends.
