Brave, Brave Zane

Zane was a 7-year-old boy who loved playing with his toy cars and reading books about adventures. But when it came to real adventures, he was not so sure. One day, he received an invitation to a friend's birthday party at a big, new playground. Zane felt nervous. He had never been there before and the thought of trying new games made his stomach flutter.

That night, Zane couldn't sleep. He tossed and turned, thinking about the playground. 'What if I don't have fun?' he worried. 'What if I get lost?' But then he remembered his favorite book hero, who was brave and adventurous. 'I want to be brave too,' Zane whispered to himself. So, he made up his mind to go to the party.

At the party, Zane felt his heart pounding as he looked at the tall slides and swings. But he took a deep breath and remembered his decision to be brave. With a little encouragement from his friends, he climbed up to the tallest slide. And as he slid down, he felt a rush of excitement. 'This is fun!' he realized. 'I did it!'

After the slide, Zane couldn't stop. He tried all the games at the playground, each one making him feel more courageous. By the end of the day, Zane was not the same boy who was scared of trying new things. He had found his bravery. 'I'm brave, brave Zane!' he shouted joyfully, ready for his next adventure.
