The Morning Sun

Dad day

In a town, under the morning sun, lived a dad, second to none. With hair as dark as the night, he shone in the daylight, so bright. He woke with a stretch and a yawn, ready to mow the lawn. His kids watched in awe, at every little thing they saw. 'Our dad,' they said with a cheer, 'can do anything, have no fear!' So the day began with joy, with dad, the super boy.
1
At the table, they gathered round, for breakfast smells that did astound. Pancakes flipped high in the air, dad's cooking, beyond compare. With a laugh and a grin, he served them up, a win-win. 'Eat up, my dears,' he said with glee, 'for a big day ahead, for you and me.' And so they ate, every plate, knowing their dad was truly great.
2
Next was the school run, always so much fun. In dad's car, they sang songs, making up the words as they went along. At the school gate, with a hug so tight, he whispered, 'Be brave, be bright.' As they walked in, heads held high, they knew dad was always nearby. 'See you later!' they waved with a smile, ready to learn in just a little while.
3
While the kids were away, dad went to work, no time to play. Meetings and calls, he did it all, standing ever so tall. But in his heart, a playful spark, waiting for the park. For after work, without fail, he'd take them to slide and sail. 'Work hard, play hard,' he'd say, making the most of every day.
4
At the park, under the sky so blue, there was so much to do. Swings and slides, and games of hide, with dad by their side. He pushed them high, into the sky, their laughter the only reply. 'Higher, Dad, higher!' they'd shout, without a single doubt. And down the slide, they'd go, with dad watching, aglow.
5
Back home, it was time to dine, with a meal so fine. Dad in the kitchen, once more, creating flavors galore. Spaghetti and meatballs, a family favorite, made with love, not a bit of it savored. Around the table, they shared their day, with dad leading the way. 'To family,' they toasted, glasses raised, in this moment, they all felt amazed.
6
With dinner done, it was time to rest, in their cozy little nest. Dad read stories, voices and all, making characters big and small. With each word, their eyes grew heavy, their breathing steady and ready. 'Goodnight, my loves,' dad whispered soft, as he turned the lights off. In their beds, they dreamed away, of another adventure, another day.
7
Weekends with dad, a treasure trove, of wonders, ready to rove. Museums, parks, and the zoo, always something new to do. 'The world is ours to explore,' dad would say, opening every door. With wide eyes and eager hearts, they'd dive into arts and charts. And as the sun set on their fun, they knew their dad was number one.
8
Homework time, a task to dread, but with dad, they moved ahead. Math and science, history too, with dad, it felt brand new. 'Learning is an adventure,' he'd explain, making knowledge a gain. With patience and love, he guided their way, making sure they didn't stray. And as they learned, they also taught, dad, the lessons life had brought.
9
Not every day was sunny and bright, some brought challenges, fights. But dad stood strong, a guiding light, teaching wrong from right. 'Together, we can face it all,' he'd say, holding them tall. And through the storms, they'd find their way, stronger together, come what may. For in dad, they found their rock, against which no hardship could knock.
10
At night, they'd share their dreams, under the moon's gentle beams. Dad would listen, a smile on his face, to every wish, every chase. 'Dream big, my loves,' he'd whisper, 'for you're my stars, my shimmer.' And in his heart, he made a wish too, for their happiness, through and through. Together, they dreamed of days to come, filled with laughter, joy, and some.
11
So here's to dad, the hero of our tale, who through love, did prevail. Not all heroes wear capes, some cook pancakes into shapes. With every day, he showed the way, to live, to love, to play. 'Cheers to dad!' we all say, for making every day okay. For in his love, we found our guide, our dad, our hero, side by side.
