God Gave Me You

Once upon a time, in a cozy little town, there was a girl named Lily. One sunny afternoon, Lily met a playful dog named Bernice. Bernice was white with tan spots and had the happiest bark. Lily knew right away that Bernice was special.

Lily adopted Bernice and took her home. They became the best of friends. Every day, they played in the garden, chasing each other around. At night, Bernice would snuggle up close to Lily.

Lily taught Bernice many tricks. Bernice learned to sit, stay, and even fetch! They spent hours laughing and playing. Lily realized how much joy Bernice brought into her life.

One night, a big storm came. Thunder boomed and lightning flashed. Bernice was scared, but Lily held her close. Together, they felt safe and brave.

After the storm, Lily looked at Bernice and felt grateful. She thanked God for bringing Bernice into her life. Bernice seemed to understand and licked Lily's face. It was their special way of saying 'I love you.'

One day, Lily and Bernice went on an adventure to the park. They ran through the fields and played fetch. They even made new friends with other dogs. It was a perfect day.

During their play, Bernice lost her favorite toy. They searched everywhere but couldn't find it. Just when they were about to give up, a little boy returned it. Lily and Bernice were so thankful.

As the sun set, Lily hugged Bernice tightly. 'God gave me you,' she whispered. Bernice wagged her tail, agreeing in her own way. Together, they watched the stars, thankful for each other.
