Shadows at Bedtime
Goodnight Ghost
Little Ghost snuggled under her misty blanket as her parent finished reading her favorite bedtime story. "Time to sleep now," her parent said, turning off the lamp. Little Ghost's eyes widened as the darkness filled her room with strange shadows. Despite being a ghost herself, Little Ghost was terribly afraid of the dark.

"What's that scary shape by the window?" whispered Little Ghost, pointing with a trembling transparent finger. Her parent floated over to investigate the frightening silhouette. "It's just your toy airplane casting a shadow," they explained gently. Little Ghost peeked from under her blanket, still unsure.

"And that tall figure in the corner?" Little Ghost asked, her voice quivering. Her parent glided across the room and touched the mysterious form. "Only your robe hanging on the door, see?" Little Ghost began to understand that shadows weren't so scary after all. Her parent showed her how to make funny shadow puppets with her ghostly hands.

"Now I see friendly shapes everywhere," Little Ghost yawned, feeling brave and sleepy. She waved goodnight to the shadow friends around her room. Her parent tucked her in with a gentle hug. Little Ghost drifted peacefully to sleep, no longer afraid of the dark.
