The Unheard Voice

I Know Who I am' I am a Brown King"

Andrew sat on the porch, legs swinging, as he shared tales of a world long past with Papa. 'I was a king, Papa! With a crown and everything!' he exclaimed, eyes sparkling with excitement. Papa, leaning back in his rocking chair, listened intently, a smile playing on his lips. 'Tell me more, my young king,' he encouraged, the only one who truly listened. Everyone else dismissed Andrew's stories as mere child's play, but not Papa.

One sunny afternoon, Papa decided it was time for a special journey. 'Let's find your kingdom,' he said, winking. They walked through the park, imagining it as a vast kingdom of old. Andrew led the way, describing the sights and sounds of his past life. Papa followed, marveling at Andrew's vivid imagination and the depth of his memories.

In the heart of the 'kingdom', beneath the ancient oak, they found a crown-shaped nest. 'This is where my crown was kept,' Andrew said, his voice filled with awe. Papa lifted him up, allowing Andrew to retrieve the nest. 'You see, Papa? I told you I was a king!' Andrew beamed, holding the nest like a precious treasure. 'Indeed, my boy, you are a king in your heart,' Papa replied, his eyes glistening with pride.

As the sun set, painting the sky in hues of gold and purple, Papa and Andrew sat back on the porch. 'Being a king isn't just about wearing a crown,' Papa explained gently. 'It's about leading with kindness, courage, and wisdom.' Andrew nodded, understanding dawning in his young eyes. 'I will be that kind of king, Papa. I promise,' he declared, a newfound resolve in his voice.
