Kayla Learns To Use Her Words

Kayla was nervous about starting Kindergarten. She held her mom's hand tightly as they walked to school. When they arrived, she saw many new faces and felt a little scared and nervous. But then she met a boy named Bobby who smiled at her, and she felt a little better.

During playtime, Kayla and Bobby played with blocks together. Bobby was very friendly but kept touching Kayla's hair. Kayla didn't like it, but she didn't know what to say. She felt upset and started to cry. Miss Melanie came over to see what was wrong.

At lunchtime, Kayla sat next to Bobby again. Bobby kept poking her while they ate. Kayla got angry and pushed Bobby away. Miss Melanie saw them and asked what happened, but Kayla didn't know what to say.

Later, on the playground, Bobby followed Kayla. He kept getting into her personal space. Kayla felt frustrated and kicked Bobby. Miss Melanie saw this and talked to both of them. Kayla felt sad and confused.

That night, Kayla told her mom about her day. Her Mom listened carefully and gave Kayla a hug. She reminded Kayla to use her words and tell Bobby she didn't like being touched. Kayla nodded and felt a little better. She decided to try it the next day.

The next day, Bobby started poking Kayla again. Kayla took a deep breath and said, 'Bobby, I don't like it when you touch me.' Bobby looked surprised but stopped. Kayla felt proud of herself. Miss Melanie noticed and smiled.

Bobby understood and played nicely with Kayla. They built a tall tower of blocks together. Kayla was happy and didn't feel upset anymore. Miss Melanie praised Kayla for using her words and everyone was having fun.

Kayla learned how important it was to use her words. She felt more confident and made new friends. Bobby and Kayla became good friends and played together every day. Miss Melanie was proud of both of them and it was a happy ending for everyone.
