The Exciting Morning

Kristinas day out

The sun was shining, the sky so blue. Kristina woke up, with a smile so true. Today was the day, her family had planned, a trip to the zoo, so grand! Mama, Papa, Aunty, and Brother too, all were ready, for a day brand new. Grandma packed snacks, in a basket so neat. They all wore hats, to beat the heat.

Kristina was excited, she could hardly wait. She put on her shoes, and her favorite hat. Papa checked the map, to plan the route. Mama grabbed the camera, to capture the day. Aunty packed water, to keep thirst at bay. Brother held Kristina's hand, so tight. Together they set off, with hearts so light.

The car ride was fun, with songs to sing. Kristina clapped her hands, to the joy it would bring. Brother pointed out, the cows and trees. Grandma told stories, that put them at ease. Mama and Papa, smiled from the front. Aunty made funny faces, with a playful grunt. The zoo was near, they could hardly wait. This day was sure, to be great!

They arrived at the zoo, with eyes so wide. Animals of all kinds, were there to be spied. Elephants, lions, and monkeys too. So many creatures, for Kristina to view. They bought their tickets, and entered the gate. The adventure began, it was going to be great. Brother held the map, to lead the way. They all were ready, for a wonderful day.

First stop was the elephants, big and grand. They watched them eat, with their trunks and hands. Kristina giggled, at their playful spray. Papa took pictures, to remember the day. Mama read facts, about their size and might. Aunty shared stories, of their gentle sight. Brother mimicked their sounds, with a joyful cheer. The elephants were amazing, so close and near.

Next, they saw lions, with a powerful roar. Kristina's eyes widened, she wanted to see more. The lions were fierce, with a majestic mane. They rested in the shade, away from the rain. Mama explained, they are kings of the land. Papa held Kristina's, tiny little hand. Brother pretended to roar, like a lion so bold. This moment was precious, worth more than gold.

The monkeys were next, full of mischief and play. They swung from the branches, in a lively way. Kristina laughed, at their funny tricks. They jumped and tumbled, like acrobatic flicks. Aunty shared bananas, to munch and chew. Grandma joined in, with a smile so true. Brother tried to mimic, their playful swing. The monkeys were joyful, like a happy spring.

It was time for a break, under a shady tree. They spread out a blanket, for a picnic spree. Grandma brought sandwiches, and cookies too. They all enjoyed the meal, with a lovely view. Kristina had juice, in her favorite cup. Brother shared his chips, as they all sat up. Mama told stories, of animals and fun. The picnic was perfect, under the sun.

After the picnic, they went to see birds. Colorful feathers, and cheerful words. Parrots that talked, and peacocks so grand. Birds of all kinds, from every land. Kristina clapped, at the parrots' talk. Brother tried to mimic, their squawk. Mama took photos, of the birds so bright. The aviary was a magical, colorful sight.

Next, they found a park, with swings and slides. Kristina and Brother, took joyful rides. The swings went high, up to the sky. Laughter and giggles, filled the air so high. Aunty pushed Kristina, with gentle care. Papa and Mama, watched from a chair. Grandma joined in, with a playful cheer. The park was fun, with family so near.

They visited the reptiles, cold and sly. Snakes and lizards, caught their eye. Kristina was curious, but stayed close to Mama. Brother was brave, like a little llama. Papa read facts, about scales and skin. Aunty shared stories, with a cheeky grin. The reptiles were fascinating, in their glassy home. This part of the zoo, was like a secret dome.

Next were the giraffes, so tall and grand. They fed them leaves, from their hand. Kristina reached up, with a tiny twig. The giraffes bent down, their necks so big. Brother was thrilled, to feed them too. Mama took photos, of the lovely view. Papa shared facts, about their height and grace. The giraffes were gentle, with a friendly face.

They watched the penguins, waddle and slide. In their icy home, they took pride. Kristina giggled, at their funny walk. Brother tried to mimic, their squawk. Aunty shared stories, of the cold and snow. Grandma watched, with a gentle glow. The penguins were charming, in their icy parade. This part of the zoo, was like a cool arcade.

The butterfly garden, was a magical place. Butterflies fluttered, with delicate grace. Kristina held out, her tiny hand. A butterfly landed, it was so grand. Brother chased them, with a joyful cheer. Mama and Papa, watched from near. Aunty took photos, of the colorful scene. The garden was peaceful, like a dream serene.

They took a ride, on the zoo train. Around the park, and back again. Kristina loved, the gentle ride. Brother pointed out, animals with pride. Grandma shared stories, of her younger days. Papa and Mama, enjoyed the lazy rays. The zoo train ride, was a perfect end. To a day filled with joy, with family and friends.

The day at the zoo, had come to an end. They packed up their things, with smiles to send. Kristina was sleepy, but happy and bright. Brother was tired, but filled with delight. Mama and Papa, thanked the zoo. Aunty and Grandma, waved goodbye too. They headed home, with memories so dear. A perfect day, with family so near.
