The Magical Mustard Fields

Pihu and the Fireflies

Pihu loved playing in the yellow mustard fields of her village, Gauripur. Her playful dog, Til, would chase butterflies as Pihu laughed and ran beside him. Every evening, they would watch fireflies light up their garden. Pihu’s grandmother called them magical creatures carrying happiness and good dreams. Pihu believed every word and cherished those magical moments.

One evening, Pihu and Til waited eagerly for the fireflies to appear. But as the sky darkened, no fireflies came to light up their garden. Pihu felt sad and wondered where the fireflies had gone. Til whimpered softly, missing the golden glow. Determined to bring back the magic, Pihu decided to find the fireflies.

Pihu and Til ventured into the dark forest, holding hands tightly. They walked deeper and deeper until they found an ancient banyan tree. There, they saw the fireflies sleeping peacefully among the branches. Instead of waking them, Pihu hummed a gentle lullaby, hoping to stir them awake. Slowly, the fireflies began to flutter their wings.

The fireflies followed Pihu and Til back to their village, filling the night with their golden glow once again. Pihu’s grandmother smiled and said, 'Kindness, patience, and a little adventure can restore the magic.' Pihu felt proud and happy, knowing she had brought back the fireflies. From that day on, the fireflies never missed a night in their garden. Pihu and Til continued to cherish their magical moments under the glowing fireflies.
