A Day in the Meadow

Tarrenna’s Big Brother

Princess Tarrenna loved the green meadow, She'd hop through the flowers where soft breezes blow. Her fluffy tail wiggled, her laughter would ring, She found joy in the simplest of spring. But her step-sister Elendra was often unkind, Pulling her ears to see what she'd find. Though teased and provoked, Tarrenna stayed true, Her heart full of kindness in all she would do.
1
One sunny morning, with mischief to brew, Elendra and Melora had mean plans to do. They took Tarrenna's friends and hid them away, Then giggled and teased her the rest of the day. "Finders keepers!" Elendra did jeer, Her words filled Tarrenna's kind heart with fear. But though she felt sad, she held back her tear, And recalled Udeni's wise words in her ear: "Stay brave, little sister, no matter the test. With courage and kindness, you'll always be blessed."
2
Udeni, the shield of Yartar so bold, Was Tarrenna's big brother, with a heart of gold. When he heard of the teasing, his anger did grow, He marched to confront them, his courage on show. "Leave my sister alone!" he roared with a might, His voice like a thunderstorm, fierce in its fight. Elendra and Melora were struck with surprise, They hadn't foreseen such a hero would rise. With Udeni beside her, Tarrenna felt strong, For kindness and courage would right every wrong.
3
Udeni had plans for a lesson to teach, One Elendra and Melora would find hard to breach. "Come join me for drinks at the castle," he said, With a growl in his voice that filled them with dread. "We’ll share some stories, a toast to proclaim, How Tarrenna’s kindness puts others to shame." The women first hesitated, unsure of his plan, But soon they agreed, fearing the brave man. Tarrenna looked on with hope in her heart, Perhaps this could be a peaceful new start.
4
Tarrenna spoke of her dragon so sweet, Her ex-boyfriend who kissed with fire and heat. Udeni shared tales of her courage and care, How she'd saved his life from dangers so rare. Elendra and Melora, at first just polite, Soon found themselves laughing deep into the night. The stories were warm, and the laughter was true, They saw Tarrenna in a kinder view. Slowly but surely, their hearts rearranged, And in that one evening, their feelings had changed.
5
Elendra spoke up with a voice soft and true, "I'm sorry for teasing and hurting you too." Melora then nodded, her promise sincere, "I’ll be much kinder, you’ve nothing to fear." Tarrenna felt warmth, her heart all aglow, A lesson of kindness she’d come to know. For patience and love can mend every sting, And bring about peace to heal everything.
6
Elendra and Melora could no longer cope, Tarrenna's kind heart snuffed out their dark hope. Their wicked souls could not bear her light, And soon they both perished, lost to the fight. Udeni stood tall, with pride in his gaze, For his sister had ended their cursed days. The castle now rang with joy and delight, The shadows had fled; all was made right. With Melora gone, Ghyrr rose unafraid, To worship Zhudun, no curse to be paid. In love and in laughter, he took Udeni’s hand, Together they ruled a joyous land.
7
Princess Tarrenna had wisdom to share, That kindness and bravery can conquer despair. With Udeni beside her, a strong, guiding light, She knew she could face any darkness in sight. Elendra and Melora met their fateful end, And peace was restored for family and friend. With laughter and love, joy filled the air, And everyone else lived beyond all care. Thus ends the tale of a princess so clever, Who brought peace to the land—happily ever after!
