The Little Kitten

Once upon a time, in a cozy little house, there lived a curious kitten named Mittens. Mittens had soft fur, big bright eyes, and a long swishy tail. She loved to chase leaves and climb trees. One sunny morning, Mittens decided to explore the woods behind her house. She ventured deeper and deeper, following a fluttering butterfly, until she realized she was lost.

Mittens looked around, feeling scared and alone. She meowed as loud as she could, hoping her family would hear her. But the woods were quiet, and no one came. Mittens curled up under a big tree, feeling very sad. She wished she had listened to her family's warnings about going too far from home.

Just as Mittens was about to give up hope, she heard footsteps. A kind girl with a warm smile appeared. She scooped Mittens up and held her close. Mittens purred and nuzzled against the girl's hand. The girl took Mittens home, where she gave her a cozy bed, a bowl of milk, and gentle pets. Mittens felt safe and loved.

When Mittens woke up, she found herself back in her familiar home. Her family surrounded her with hugs and kisses. Mittens realized how much she had missed them. She promised herself that she would never wander too far again. From that day on, Mittens stayed close to home, where she felt happiest of all.
