The new girl

Rose was nervous about her first day at a new school. She had just moved to town and didn't know anyone. Her mom dropped her off at the school gate, and she took a deep breath. As she walked into the classroom, she felt everyone's eyes on her. Rose hoped today would go well.

In the classroom, Rose sat quietly at her desk. She noticed a girl with long blonde hair smiling at her. The girl waved and introduced herself as Emma. 'Hi, I'm Rose,' she replied shyly. Emma asked if Rose wanted to sit with her at lunch, and Rose felt a little less nervous.

At lunch, Emma showed Rose around the playground. They played on the swings and laughed together. Emma introduced Rose to her other friends, who were all very nice. Rose felt happy to have found a friend like Emma. The school didn't feel so scary anymore.

By the end of the day, Rose felt much better about her new school. She had made a new friend and met many kind classmates. As Rose walked out of school, she waved goodbye to Emma. Rose realized that sometimes new beginnings can lead to wonderful friendships. She couldn't wait to go back to school the next day.
