A New Neighbor
Why is She Different?
John noticed a new family moving into the house next door. He was curious and watched from his window. Among the movers, he saw a quiet girl holding a teddy bear. She seemed different and a bit distant. John wondered who she was.

The next day, John saw the albino girl again in the garden. Feeling shy but excited, he waved at her. The girl, Sydney, looked at him but didn't wave back. John thought maybe she was just shy. He decided to give her some space.
2
John couldn't stop thinking about Sydney. He wanted to make a new friend. So, he gathered his courage and went over to introduce himself. 'Hi, I'm John,' he said with a smile. Sydney hesitated but then nodded and said, 'I'm Sydney.'
3
John asked Sydney if she wanted to play. After a moment, she agreed with a small smile. They played in the garden, running around and laughing. John was happy to see Sydney smile. They were starting to become friends.
4
The next day, John brought drawing paper and crayons. Sydney's eyes lit up when she saw them. They sat on the grass and began to draw. Sydney drew a beautiful picture of a rainbow. John was impressed by her talent.
5
As they drew, John and Sydney shared stories. Sydney told John about her old home and how she missed her friends. John listened and shared his own stories. They found they had many things in common. Their friendship grew stronger.
6
John realized that Sydney was just like him, even if she seemed different at first. He learned that everyone is unique in their own way. Sydney was shy but kind and creative. John was glad he took the time to know her.
7
With patience and kindness, John and Sydney became best friends. They played and drew together every day. Sydney wasn't so distant anymore. John felt happy to have such a special friend. They both learned that friendship knows no differences.
