Hi, I’m Karots, the Welsh pony, and though I may be a bit older now, I still have a mischievous streak! As a lesson pony, I spend my days teaching children not just how to ride but how to stay alert and on their toes! My mornings start like anyone else's—with breakfast, but don’t dare give me food I don’t like, or I’ll simply refuse to eat! After my meal, I play with my pony pals—biting, kicking, and running around wildly—it’s our favorite way to bond! Then, the real fun begins. I know when the children arrive, and I can’t wait to greet them. I like to test my new two-legged friends as soon as they put the halter on, by bolting out of the stall. Sometimes I run so fast I lift them right off their feet—what a ride! Of course, if they let go of the lead rope, it’s FREEDOM! I trot around like the star of my own parade, and the humans reward me with carrots and cookies for my stellar performance. Once they catch me, it’s time for the next round of fun in the arena. I make sure their ride is exciting—no boring trotting in circles for me! I prefer zig-zag patterns, spontaneous canters, and inserting my head or leg through the fence, just to make them squeal. I’ve also mastered the art of picking up branches, just to see how long I can hold on while they try to pry them from my mouth! Of course, after all that fun, I always end the day with good behavior. The children un-tack me, give me lots of scratches (the human version of chewing, I’ve learned), and most importantly, plenty of carrots. After all, carrots are a Karots’ favorite treat!

Page 4: Ish creates a "Ring Toss" game using old bottles and rings. "I need to measure these," she says, using a ruler. Page 5: XL crafts a "Balloon Pop" game, teaching them about air pressure as they fill balloons with different amounts of air. Page 6: They decorate with streamers and signs, turning their backyard into a vibrant carnival. "Art makes it magical!" XL says. Page 7: Osh tests his roller coaster, adjusting the slopes. "Too fast!" he notes, adding more curves for safety. Page 8: Ish sets up her game, making sure the rings fit just right. "It's all about the right size," she explains. Page 9: XL helps them price tickets for games, teaching them about money and value. "Each ticket is a chance to win!" she says. Page 10: They invite friends and neighbors. "Welcome to Osh and Ish's Carnival!" they announce, opening the gates. Page 11: Everyone enjoys the games. Kids laugh as they try to navigate Osh's roller coaster. "This is so cool!" they cheer. Today Ezra, Leo, Mummy and Daddy had a big adventure. They were going tot dig the deepest hole in the world on the beach. They were on Kommetjie Long Beach in Cape Town. It was wide, empty, with crashing waves and mountains in the distance. Daddy had the biggest spade, Mummy a medium size spade, Ezra a small spade and Leo a tiny spade. They dug and dug and dug until the whole was 2km deep and suddenly they found a magical golden kingdom. They played theater for hours until the sun set and they climbed out the whole to go home. That night everyone fell fast asleep.

Now they each have chocolates and pineapples to share with everyone!" Page 6: The benefits of trade. "Thanks to trade, Candyland and Fruityland became great friends. Their people were happy, their businesses grew, and everyone had plenty to eat and enjoy." Conclusion: "The lesson from Candyland and Fruityland is simple: When we trade, we all get more of what we love. That’s why we trade!"

He wears a pure white armor with a fleur-de-lis emblem. Sir Sincere of Sancerre is known for his unwavering dedication to the queen and his reliable advice. But Sovereign Blanc has another advisor too. Professor Pulley Fumé: A brilliant, eccentric inventor who creates unique devices for Queen Sovereign Blanc. He has a white, smoky beard and wears a pair of tinted goggles. Professor Pulley Fumé is always tinkering with new contraptions in his workshop, which is filled with pulleys, gears, and a mysterious smoky haze. One day the palace is visited by Monsieur Terrain: a wise, white-haired cartographer who creates detailed maps of the kingdom's vineyards for Queen Sovereign Blanc. He wears a white explorer's hat and carries a compass. Monsieur Terrain shows Sovereign Blanc a map of the kingdom and tells her he has found some good spots good for planting new vineyards. Sovereign Blanc asks Sincere of Sancerre to ride out on his white horse to see the new territory and report back. Before Sincere of Sancerre rides off, Professor Pulley Fumé gives him a gadget that will help him navigate more easily in the dark.
