He grabs curtains, towels, and shiny toys. His room turns into a colorful mess, but Duda doesn’t mind. He’s focused on creating his special costume. After finishing, he looks at himself in the mirror. He smiles proudly at his work. Excited, Duda runs to show his mom. She looks at him, surprised but proud. She smiles and hugs him, telling him how great his costume is. Duda feels proud and happy. His mom, seeing how excited he is, says, “Let’s go to the parade!” They leave the house and walk down the street. Duda looks around at the colorful decorations and listens to the music. When they reach the parade, Duda is amazed. He sees a dancer on a truck, surrounded by people in costumes. Duda asks his mom about the dancer, and she explains with a smile. Duda wants to dance too. His mom laughs and says, “Let’s join the fun!” They dance together in the crowd, spinning and laughing. Duda is happy to be part of the celebration. The crystal was dim, its glow fading, and around it was a dark, swirling mist. “What is this?” Taffy whispered, her heart sinking. She knew she had to do something to save Candy Island. Taffy’s eyes widened as a small, mischievous creature appeared from the mist. The Sugar Gremlin was a tiny, candy like creature with sticky fingers and a sly grin. He was made of half-melted sugar and dark caramel, his eyes sparkled with mischief. “Why would you steal the sweetness?” Taffy asked, her voice filled with sadness. “This island needs its magic. Without it, we’ll lose everything.” The Sugar Gremlin chuckled. “Oh, but that’s exactly the point! The island was becoming too perfect. It needs balance, a bit of spice, a touch of sourness something to break the sweetness.” I understand now,” Taffy said, her voice filled with compassion. “

Lots of children give plastic bottle lids to Lids4Kids to be recycled. Lids4Kids volunteers sort them into color categories as a group. The colored lids are divided into 3 groups before being poured into a big machine that mulches them into small flakes. Another machine melts the flakes and extrudes them into a metal mold in the shape of slats for a bench. Volunteers then use carpentry tools to build a colorful bench.
