Mama spent time with her grandparents at their Camper at Camp Holiday, and had Christmas, holidays, and birthday celebrations with the entire family. Grandma and mama were very close. Mama has the wedding ring that grandpa presented to grandma all those years ago in 1956. Grandma and Grandpa are buried at Fort Snelling.

"You have taught us to accept diversity and brought joy to this kingdom," he remarked.
