Mina is a half Korean and Half Vietnamese girl who is learning about the Vu Lan Festival that is celebrated on June 15th. She sees her parents setting up an altar and preparing food and learns to make a sweet rice cake with her mother. She is told that the festival is meant to honor parents and ancestors with offerings made at home and at the Vietnamese temple. Her family visits a temple and prays. Afterwards, they light and hang a paper lantern on a tree. The next day the family packs up old clothes and toys to give to their local Vietnamese charity. Mina is happy to remember her ancestors and help others, looking forward to doing it again next year

Their hearts filled with warmth as they realized the real treasure was their friendship.

They loved the island’s golden beaches and sparkling blue waters, but what they loved most was going on epic adventures.One sunny morning, Phil, with his bright yellow beak, stretched his wings and called out, "Let's go on an adventure today!" Freddy, the cleverest of the trio with his curious eyes, replied, "Great idea, Phil! Where should we go?" Herman, the biggest and strongest, flapped his wings enthusiastically. "I heard there's a coral reef nearby. Maybe we can meet some new sea friends there!" And off they flew, soaring high above the ocean, their wings cutting through the crisp air. As they approached the reef, the water below sparkled with every shade of blue and green.
