Soon, Maplewood was pouring all its resources into Big Bucks’ projects. Penny noticed that things around town were falling apart. With so much money going to walls and gadgets, there was hardly anything left to fix schools, parks, or even make enough food! “What if we’re using up our savings on things that don’t help us every day?” she thought. Penny gathered everyone and shared her plan. “Instead of building walls, let’s work together and share what we have. The world needs peace, just like we learned in the Forest Unity Days!” She reminded them that when the animals had shared their food and tools, they had more than enough. As the animals talked and listened, they realized that the weasels weren’t all bad. They just needed help, too. The man smiled as Aqma helped him carry his belongings home. With Aqma’s help, the man reached home. “Thank you, kid. Come rest and have a glass of water,” the man said. Aqma rested for a while and enjoyed the man’s hospitality. Arriving home to his surprise, Aqma’s house was swarming with people trying to put out the fire. Aqma was confused and shocked at the same time, he just remembered that when he was walking earlier he forgot to turn off the stove and now he had no place to stay. He just stood there looking at his house that was slowly disappearing. Aqma sat limply lamenting his fate, the only thing he could save was his body. From a distance, the people looked at his loneliness until without Aqma realizing it, the old lady and the man he helped earlier approached him “You can stay at my house, child,” the old lady said.“My home is always open if you’re hungry,” the man added.
