A fourteen-year-old girl named Tae was sitting under a tree reading a book. She was always quiet and reserved because she didn't know her true identity deep down. Then suddenly she heard the voice of the friendly tree talking to her. She told the tree how sad she was and wished she could go to a faraway place. The old oak tree granted her wish and transported her to a mysterious magical garden. The tree however warned her that if she didn't return in three days, she would have to stay there forever without her family and friends. Tae saw every fruit tree, food, fried chicken, and animal that she could think about. She thought she was in paradise and didn't want to go back home. She finally felt so happy and she didn't leave. When it was the second day, Tae started to feel lonely and sad. Tae missed her family dearly and started to reminisce on all the fun times she had with her family especially her favorite aunt, Auntie Maalia.

A grumpy crab lives on a rock on the shoreline. He does not want to share his rock. He says "get off my rock, this is my rock" to the animals who come near his rock including a butterfly, puffin, admiral, and a seagull. A mermaid comes out of the sea and tells the crab he needs to learn to share and let the animals rest on his rock. The crab ends up listening to the mermaid and he realizes that by sharing his rock, and listening to the stories of the animals, he can make friendships.

Dad unpacked a picnic basket overflowing with sandwiches, fruit, and juice boxes. They ate their lunch while watching a playful crab scuttle across the rocks. Dad taught Audrey and Daniel how to navigate using a compass and chart, showing them how to identify landmarks and plan their course. Daniel even got to try steering the boat under Dad's watchful eye. Audrey, meanwhile, kept a lookout for marine life, excitedly pointing out every passing bird and fish. As the sun began to set, painting the sky in fiery hues of orange and pink, they headed back to shore. Tired but exhilarated, Audrey and Daniel snuggled up next to their dad, their faces flushed with the sun and filled with the joy of their first boating adventure.
