The main character is six year old little girl named Yara. She is a very cute, kind and sensible little girl. Yara has a very friendly face and personality. She is wearing a pink little outfit, with black ballerina pump style shoes and has two ponytails with yellow ribbons. She has long brown hair, dark eyes and a cute little button nose, with rosy cheeks. It is break time at school, and everyone is excited to open their lunch boxes—except for one little girl sitting all alone. Her name is Leila. She is new to the school and to Yara's class and is very shy. She doesn’t have any food for lunch like the other kids and seems very embarrassed about it. Some kids are staring at her, some of the girls are whispering to each other talking. Yara notices her sadness and feels a tug in her heart. Instead of joining her friends, Yara walks over to Leila with a smile and offers to share her lunch. Yaras friends see this and suddenly feel very bad for not being kinder to Leila. Tito comes over and offers Leila his juice from his lunch box. Keena comes over and shares her fruit with Leila. They became friends and Leila is feeling very happy. In this touching story, children learn how one small act of kindness can make someone feel seen, included, and loved.

This is Peddy, and she is excited for her first day of school. Peddy kissed her mom and dad goodbye and walked out the door. As she happily sang, she made sure to walk on the side of the road where she could see approaching vehicles. On her way, Peddy saw Ian using his phone while walking and gasped, "Oh no!" She quickly approached Ian and said, "Good morning, Ian! Don’t use your phone while walking; it’s dangerous." Ian quickly put his phone away. "Oh, hi! Thank you for telling me, Peddy. Come on, let’s walk together!" As they continued walking, Peddy noticed white lines painted across the road. "Ian, we should walk on the pedestrian lane. Pedestrian lanes are designed to help us cross the road safely." They were about to cross when Peddy saw a traffic light ahead with three different colors. She stopped at the sidewalk. Ian looked at Peddy in confusion. "Why did you stop, Peddy? Come on! There are no cars anymore; we can cross the road." Peddy shook her head. "No, Ian. The traffic light is green, which means vehicles can go. Red means stop, and yellow means slow down." Ian then noticed the pedestrian signal. "Does the hand palm sign mean we should wait and not cross yet?" Peddy nodded. "Yes! And look, now the walking man signal has lit up. That means we can cross safely. That’s a pedestrian signal!" Ian was about to step forward, but Peddy stopped him again. "Before crossing, we should always follow the Stop, Look, and Listen rule. Stop before stepping onto the road. Look for approaching vehicles. Sometimes you can’t see them, so listen carefully for any nearby cars. If it’s all clear, then we can cross." Ian nodded, understanding the safety rules. Finally, Peddy and Ian walked across the pedestrian lane safely. They greeted the school guard happily, feeling secure and ready for their first day of school.

Почти в полной темноте ребята продолжали идти по тоннелю, и вдруг впереди загорелся тусклый свет. Свет исходит из старой платформы, где нет ни одного поезда. Но на платформе... стоят фигуры. Высокие и тонкие, словно люди, но как-то неестественно вытянутые и с бледными лицами. Они стоят, не двигаясь, вечно смотря прямо на тех, кто осмелился спуститься сюда. Один из подростков почувствовал, как воздух стал ледяным, его тело как будто замерзло на месте. Остальные начали паниковать, но когда они попытались вернуться, тоннель стал странно менять форму, и они не могли найти выход. В какой-то момент свет погас, и оставшиеся в темноте, не слыша друг друга, начали бегать по бесконечным коридорам. Когда они наконец выбрались, то оказалось, что прошло несколько дней, хотя они думали, что это было всего пару часов. И самое странное: они не могли вспомнить, как именно они нашли выход, и всё, что осталось — это чувство, что кто-то невидимый всё время наблюдал за ними. Scorching summer days stretched before us. Suddenly, my brother Suraj burst in, panicked. Someone kept calling and hanging up! Turns out, he accidentally dialed the police, fearing my wrath more than the authorities. The phone blared again – it was Grandpa, worried about the police and firefighters outside our house! Apparently, our identically numbered neighbor had the "fire." Chaos ensued as Dad received a call about the false alarm. Terrified, we hid until the police arrived. A sheepish apology letter later, and all was (mostly) forgiven. As the sun dipped below the horizon, we laughed about the crazy day. It was a scary mix-up, but a hilarious reminder of the importance of honesty and communication. And maybe double-checking the house number before dialing 100.
