Grandpa, Can I Have a Hug? is a touching children’s story that follows siblings Ella and Linus as they navigate changes in their relationship with their beloved Grandpa, who has Alzheimer’s. Grandpa once filled their days with laughter, tickling, and fun activities. But slowly, he begins to change—he forgets things, loses his playful humor, and becomes unsteady on his feet. Eventually, he moves to a nursing home. At first, the nursing home feels cold and unfriendly. Ella and Linus don’t know how to connect with Grandpa there, and they miss the way he used to be. But everything improves when Grandpa moves to a new, warm nursing home where the staff welcomes visitors as part of the care team. Slowly, Ella and Linus grow comfortable in this new environment. Though it takes time, the siblings find the courage to hug Grandpa, sparking a moment of connection that bridges the gap caused by his illness. From there, they discover new ways to enjoy time with him—taking him on wheelchair “adventures” through the halls, sharing treats, and spending time as a family. Through gentle storytelling and heartfelt illustrations, Grandpa, Can I Have a Hug? helps children understand that even though loved ones may change, the love they share remains strong. The story offers comfort and encourages young readers to find new ways to connect, showing that love can endure even through the hardest changes.

Once upon a time, in a big green forest, there lived a little turtle named Timmy. Timmy was a small turtle with a shiny, green shell and a big, curious smile. He loved to explore and go on adventures, even though he was a bit slower than his animal friends. One sunny morning, Timmy decided to go on an adventure to find the biggest, juiciest strawberry in the whole forest! "I love strawberries," Timmy said, licking his lips. So, off he went! He walked past tall trees, wiggled under bushes, and splashed through tiny puddles. On the way, Timmy met his friend Bella the Bunny, hopping around. "Where are you going, Timmy?" asked Bella. "I'm looking for the biggest strawberry in the forest!" Timmy said excitedly. "I'll help you!" said Bella, and they both hopped along together. After a while, they came across Sammy the Squirrel, who was gathering nuts. "Hi, Sammy!" said Timmy and Bella. "Do you know where we can find the biggest strawberry?" Sammy scratched his head and said, "I don’t know, but I’ll help you look!" And so, Sammy joined the adventure too. They walked and walked until they saw something red and shiny behind a big bush. “Look!” Timmy said, “It’s the biggest strawberry ever!” They all cheered! Timmy, Bella, and Sammy shared the strawberry and it was the sweetest, juiciest strawberry they had ever tasted. After their delicious snack, they sat under a tree and laughed together. Timmy was so happy that his friends helped him on his adventure. He learned that exploring was fun, but having friends along made it even better! And from that day on, Timmy, Bella, and Sammy went on many more adventures together.

In the magical land of Numberville, the numbers lived in cozy houses on a street called Place Value Lane. There were two neighborhoods: Tens Town and Ones Village. One day, in Ones Village, the number 3 was trying to give 5 apples to a friend, but there was a problem. 3 didn't have enough apples! Oh no! How can I give 5 apples when I only have 3? thought the number. But in Numberville, the numbers always help each other. So, 3 had an idea: "I’ll borrow some apples from my neighbor in Tens Town!" So, 3 went next door to Tens Town to talk to the number 6 who lived there. "Hey 6, I need to give away more apples than I have. Can I borrow some from you?" 6 smiled and said, "Of course! We’re neighbors, and neighbors always help out." So, 6 gave 1 of its apples to 3, but because it was from Tens Town, it was worth 10 apples! Now, 3 turned into 13 with the borrowed apples! "Yay!" said 13. "Now I have more than enough to give away 5 apples." After sharing 5 apples, 13 was left with 8 apples. And since 6 gave 1 apple to Ones Village, it turned into 5 in Tens Town. The numbers were happy because they helped each other, and everyone got exactly what they needed. And so, whenever a number doesn’t have enough to subtract, they just borrow from their neighbors in Tens Town, and everything works out perfectly.

Once upon a time, in a small village nestled between two great mountains, there lived a young boy named Timmy. Timmy loved to paint and draw, and his room was filled with all sorts of colorful pictures. One day, while exploring his attic, Timmy stumbled upon an old, mysterious-looking paintbrush hidden away in a dusty trunk. As soon as he picked up the paintbrush, it began to glow softly. A tiny fairy appeared before him, no bigger than a thumb. She introduced herself as Lily, the guardian of the magical paintbrush. "This paintbrush," Lily explained, "has the power to bring anything you paint to life. But remember, with great power comes great responsibility." Timmy was thrilled and couldn't wait to try out his new magical tool. He set up his easel in the garden and began to paint a beautiful butterfly. As he finished the last stroke, the butterfly fluttered off the canvas and into the air. It was so real that it even landed on a nearby flower to sip nectar. Encouraged by his success, Timmy decided to paint a whole garden full of colorful flowers and buzzing bees. With each stroke of the magical paintbrush, his garden came alive. The flowers bloomed, and the bees buzzed happily around them. But then, Timmy had an idea. He wanted to paint something truly special—a magnificent dragon to protect the village from any harm. He worked tirelessly, adding scales, wings, and a fiery breath. As he finished the final details, the dragon roared to life and stood proudly before him. The villagers were amazed and a bit frightened by the sudden appearance of a dragon. But Timmy explained that the dragon was there to protect them. The dragon, whose name was Ember, quickly became a beloved guardian of the village. However, not everyone was happy about the new additions to the village.
