Mama Bear, Papa Bear. and Pip were beaming, and even Mrs. Honeycomb peeked in from the doorway, waving a small gift bag. Barnaby's eyes widened. "You remembered!" he whispered. his voice choked with happy tears. Mama Bear chuckled. "Of course, we remembered, sleepyhead! We just wanted to make it a really special surprise. We planned this all along! Papa Bear winked. "We even managed to keep it a secret from your little sister - that was the hardest part! That night, surrounded by the warmth of his family and friends. Barnaby blew out his candles, making a wish for lots more secret surprises and many more happy birthdays. It turned out to be the best surprise birthday ever! **Winter Friendship** Winter came to the village, covering everything in white snow. Mimi the Cat and Didi the Duck were thrilled. "Let’s celebrate winter with Lulu!" said Mimi. "Yes!" Didi agreed. "We can play in the snow and drink warm soup together." They walked to Lulu the Frog’s house near the pond and knocked. "Lulu? Are you home?" Didi called. But no one answered. Mimi peeked inside. "Lulu isn’t here," she said, confused. They searched behind the house, under a tree, and around the frozen pond. No sign of Lulu. "Where could she be?" asked Didi, shivering. "Do you think she’s gone forever?" "I hope not," Mimi said sadly. "Lulu is our best friend." As they sat under a big tree feeling down, Mimi suddenly remembered. "Wait! Frogs hibernate in winter!" "What does that mean?" asked Didi. "It means Lulu isn’t gone," Mimi explained. "She’s sleeping through the winter to stay safe from the cold." "She’s just sleeping?" Didi’s eyes widened. "Exactly," Mimi said. Cheering up, the friends decided to make something special for Lulu. They built a snowman outside her house and left a note: "We miss you, Lulu! See you in spring!" When spring arrived, Lulu woke up and stretched. She saw the melted snowman and the note. Smiling, she hopped to the pond, where Mimi and Didi were waiting. "Lulu!" they cheered, running to her. "I’m so happy to see you!" Lulu said. "We missed you so much," said Didi. The three friends hugged, laughing. Page 8: (Miko and Lizzy struggled in class but their ADHD was an advantage!) After visiting Dr Wild, the Wildebeest, Miko and Lizzy learnt to do things that would help them to manage their ADHD. Page 9: Miko became the captain of the sand surfing team and had the fastest record in the desert! Miko was also top of his insect tracking class and created the first ever pair of insect spy goggles that could see different insect tracks and tells you what type of insect you are looking at! Page 10: Lizzy enjoyed stargazing so much that she was top of the class for astronomy and could name every constellation. Page 11: Even though Miko and Lizzy had some tough times with their ADHD, they both learnt cool tricks to help them feel better and do their best.

One day Layla wore her superpower costume and was mischievous in so many different ways. Her father told her she wasn’t super at all and sent her to her room without her lunch. Layla felt cross and angry. Just then, her room changed and it became the clouds in the sky. That night, Layla climbed into her private hot air balloon and soared high above the houses. She flew in and out of clouds and almost over a rainbow to the land where the giants live. Layla gazed at this place as her balloon approached. She could see tall trees that towered and stretched as high as the sky. She could see huge houses that lurked in the darkness beyond. She could even see fantastic flowers whose beautiful fragrance danced on the breeze. When she arrived at the place where the giants live, the giants stomped their enormous feet and boomed with their enormous voices and crunched their enormous teeth. Layla didn’t care. She waved at them cheerily and then they made her Queen of the Giants. Soon though, Layla grew weary of the Giants and dreamed of her home. So she climbed back into her hot air balloon, drifted through clouds and almost over a rainbow until she landed back in the warmth of her very own room.
