First day of 5th grade

Di sebuah kampung kecil, tinggal seorang budak bernama Amin yang sangat suka makan roti canai. Setiap pagi, dia akan pergi ke warung Pak Hassan untuk membeli roti canai kegemarannya. Suatu hari, ketika Amin sedang menikmati roti canai di bangku warung, seekor kucing kurus berwarna putih datang menghampiri. Kucing itu memandang Amin dengan mata yang sayu. Amin tersenyum dan berkata, "Kamu lapar, ya?" Dia lalu mengoyakkan sedikit roti canainya dan memberikannya kepada kucing itu. Kucing itu makan dengan lahap dan menggeselkan badannya pada kaki Amin sebagai tanda terima kasih. Hari demi hari, kucing itu selalu menunggu Amin di warung. Mereka menjadi sahabat baik. Namun, suatu hari, Amin tidak muncul seperti biasa. Kucing itu kelihatan gelisah. Dengan naluri yang tajam, kucing itu berlari ke rumah Amin. Di sana, dia melihat Amin terbaring di atas katil dengan muka yang pucat. Ibu Amin memberitahu bahawa Amin demam. Kucing itu tidak berputus asa. Ia segera berlari ke warung Pak Hassan dan mengiau kuat di hadapan kedai. Pak Hassan yang mengenali kucing itu segera faham bahawa sesuatu telah berlaku. Dia mengambil sedikit bubur dan pergi ke rumah Amin. Dengan kasih sayang dan penjagaan ibunya serta bantuan Pak Hassan, Amin sembuh beberapa hari kemudian. Dia sangat terharu melihat kucing kesayangannya berada di sisi sepanjang dia sakit. Sejak hari itu, Amin bukan sahaja memberi makan kepada kucing itu, tetapi juga menjaganya sebagai haiwan peliharaan. Mereka menjadi sahabat sejati, saling menjaga antara satu sama lain.

1. John Jr read Genesis 2:8-9 which says "Now the LORD God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed. The LORD God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil." 2. John Jr wanted to explore the tree of Life and tree of knowledge a bit deeper for better understanding. He learned that God wants wants you to grow into a strong tree, nourished by the light of His word. God promised those who follow and trust his way will flourish and prosper. 2. Jesus is the water of life that will nourish and gives us light for all us to grow into a strong person. John Jr decided to delight in the ways of God and to not let Satan decieve him. John Jr started to read more about being a good follower of Jesus. John Jr wanted to bear good fruit and started practicing love, joy, peace, gentleness, goodness, and faith in his everyday life. John learned wisdom was tree of life and the righteous was its fruit. 3. John Jr learned that the tree of knowledge of bad and evil tries to divide human action into Right or Wrong, Good or Evil and Lawful or Unlawful with privileges and punishments for each case. John Jr learned that the tree of knowledge is where sin came from. John Jr decided that he was going to obey God's ways better. He decided to not tell lies anymore and to be kind to his neighbor by not picking their flowers and just try to be more righteous. 4. So God wants us to plant vegetables in our garden that will draw us closer to him. John Jr started planting peas, lettuce, squash, turnips and thyme.

She brought him to the temple and said to Eli, “God has blessed me with a son, and now I give him back to serve the Lord.” Page 6 Samuel grew up in the temple, learning from Eli. One night, he heard a voice calling, “Samuel! Samuel!” He thought Eli was calling him, but Eli said, “I did not call you. Go back to sleep.” Page 7 The voice called again, and again Samuel ran to Eli. But Eli realized it was God speaking to Samuel! He told Samuel, “Say, ‘Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening.’” Page 8 Samuel listened, and God spoke to him. From that night on, Samuel became a great prophet, guiding Israel and teaching them to follow God. Page 9 Hannah’s faith and promise led to Samuel becoming one of the greatest leaders of Israel. And through it all, she was thankful, knowing that God had answered her prayer. Page 10 “For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my request.” – 1 Samuel 1:27

Once upon a time, there was a little turtle named Timmy who loved to explore. He lived on a beautiful beach with his best friend, Shelly the seashell. One sunny morning, Timmy decided to go on an adventure to the other side of the reef. "Be careful, Timmy," Shelly warned. "The tide can be tricky!" But Timmy was too excited to listen. He waved goodbye and swam off. As he reached the reef, he noticed the water was getting deeper. Suddenly, a strong current pulled him away from the reef! Timmy panicked. He tried to swim back, but the current was too strong. He was being swept out to sea! Just then, he saw Mr. Starfish, the wise old starfish, floating nearby. "Mr. Starfish, help!" Timmy cried. "The tide is taking me away!" Mr. Starfish smiled calmly. "Don't panic, Timmy," he said. "Swim parallel to the shore until you're out of the current." Timmy did as he was told, and soon he was safe. "Thank you, Mr. Starfish!" he said. "I'll never forget your advice." From that day on, Timmy always listened to Shelly's warnings and respected the power of the ocean. He learned that even though adventures are fun, safety always comes first. Moral of the Story: * Always listen to warnings from your friends and elders. * Be aware of your surroundings, especially when near water. * If you're ever in trouble, stay calm and ask for help.
