One morning at school, Katie was walking to her classroom when she saw Sarah sitting alone by the playground. Sarah had always been mean to Katie. After all, Sarah had been so rude to her before. Why should she be nice now? But then, something in her heart made her pause. She remembered what her mom always said: "Two wrongs don’t make a right." Katie wasn’t sure what that meant exactly, but she knew her mom would want her to be kind and helpful, even if it was hard. Katie took a deep breath and walked over to Sarah. "I’ll help you," she said, trying not to sound too grumpy. Sarah looked surprised but didn't argue. "Thank you so much, Katie." She said with teary eyes. Katie sat down beside her and helped Sarah with the math problems. They worked quietly for a few minutes, and slowly, Sarah began to smile. “Oh, I get it now,” Sarah said, her face lighting up. “Thanks, Katie. I didn’t know how to do this before." Sarah hugged Katie tightly. Katie felt proud of herself. It was hard to help someone who had been mean, but she felt like she had made the right choice. Even though Sarah wasn’t always kind to her, Katie knew she could still be the bigger person. As the bell rang and Katie stood up to go to class, Sarah said, “Hey, um, sorry about the stuff I said before. I wasn’t very nice.” Katie smiled and nodded. “It’s okay,” she said. She didn’t expect Sarah to change overnight, but at least she knew she had done something good.

One day there was this kid named Xayden. Xayden went to the park one day and wanted to shoot some basketball. There was one issue though, he wasn’t very good at basketball. In fact Xayden wasn’t good at all. Some other guys saw him missing and started laughing at him. They made fun of him and started calling him names. When they left, a kid named Blaise went over to Xayden and asked him if he wanted help to get better at basketball. Xayden was lit up with joy and immediately said yes! Xayden did some drills with Blaise and started making his shots. After working with Blaise almost every shot seemed to go Xaydens way. The next day, the same guys that were making fun of Xayden came back to the park. Xayden wanted to show them how good he was, so he asked them if they wanted to play a game. Xayden was obliterating them , doing behind the back, in between the legs, shooting threes, layups, and making all of them! Xayden and Blaise ended up winning and one of the guys even ran away. The other guy couldn’t except defeat and said “ Well…well… I’m still better than you!”. Xayden became a great basketball player.

The Committee of Five, including John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Robert R. Livingston, and Roger Sherman, were the ones who had the most influential input into authoring the document. Thomas Jefferson actually wrote the original document the Second Continental Congress then did the editing. The signers of the Declaration of Independence are the nation's Founding Fathers. 3. John Jr explained how the Declaration explains to the world why the Thirteen Colonies regarded themselves as independent states no longer subject to British colonial rule. The Declaration justified the independence of the United States by listing 27 colonial grievances against King George III and by asserting certain natural and legal rights, including a right of revolution. 5. John Jr told Yuēhàn that The Declaration of Independence has proven an impactful statement on human rights, particularly its second sentence: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." 6. Later that day, John Jr and Yuēhàn began their Independence Day celebrations with a family picnic. They night ended with a spectacular fireworks display.
